Joint project platform set up
at the new offices The structured framework provided by
the joint project platform (JPP) has proved to
be an asset for managing all the issues that
require significant advance planning, mainly
in the line acceptance phase but also as
part of the preparations for operation and
maintenance. The JPP was set up under less
than ideal conditions given the Covid-19
crisis, but it did provide an opportunity to
establish the big picture of those issues
of shared interest, to break these down
functionally, to involve the relevant parties
from each organisation, and to determine
the appropriate frequency of workshops.
This work is constantly evolving: at the end
of the first year of full operation, the JJP
dashboard has been restructured to reflect
the new challenges and targets set for 2021.
The monitoring committee ensured that
the JPP s tools were properly implemented
throughout 2020.
Guaranteeing the safety
and security of the Grand Paris
Express structures In 2020, the workshops run by the cyber
security working group provided a
collaborative environment in which
Société du Grand Paris, Île-de-France
Mobilités and RATP Infrastructures were
able to jointly develop information system
matrices (presenting a list of the Grand Paris
Express information systems with their
associated level of cyber security) and the
roles and responsibilities matrix (presenting
the duties of RATP Infrastructures and
transport operators in relation to maintaining
and using information systems). Work on
the systems approval process has also
started. It should be noted that the systems
approval process will include a project
approval before the transfer of technical
management and then an operational
approval after the transfer.
To improve coordination with its partners in preparation for future operation and maintenance,
Société du Grand Paris has made a joint project platform available to its partners Île-de-France
Mobilités and RATP Infrastructures. This tripartite project platform works on all the issues that
require significant joint advance planning. It includes the teams from Société du Grand Paris,
those from Île-de-France Mobilités as the transport organisation authority and appointer of the
future transport operators of the Grand Paris Express lines, and those from RATP Infrastructures
as the maintainer of the new metro s infrastructure. Formally launched in November 2019,
the teams now have a dedicated workspace on Société du Grand Paris s new site. They work
under the close supervision of a steering committee that meets every two weeks and includes
the operational managers.
A working group with these three actors has also been set up to look at the security of the Grand
Paris Express information systems. The main objective of the workshops led by this working
group is to share and define the governance of cyber security and to define the roles and
responsibilities of each entity in the operation and maintenance phase.
