School awareness-raising programmes
Société du Grand Paris raises awareness among schoolchildren
from a very young age, as part of its educational programme,
Classes du Grand Paris Express . This programme is designed
to help young people understand the project and the jobs and skills
associated with each of its stages: develop, build, operate and use.
It focuses not only on the variety of career paths and cross-
disciplinary skills, but also on dispelling the poor image of certain
occupations.
At Work on the Metro
Guided tours of the Fabrique du Métro are offered throughout
the school year to secondary school students.
Entitled Au boulot pour le métro , they present each stage of
the project and the associated jobs and skills.
Worksite observation tours
Secondary school students can take part in guided observation
tours to a Grand Paris Express worksite. Educational activities are
available to schoolchildren by reservation.
The facts behind Grand Paris Express jobs
In partnership with Pôle Emploi and local stakeholders, Société
du Grand Paris regularly organises events that bring together job
seekers and contractors. The Fabrique du Métro organises special
career-focused tours for job seekers, influencers, and people on work
integration programmes.
Société du Grand Paris also develops support resources for job
seekers. In particular, it has developed a corpus of 58 job
descriptions. New job descriptions are expected to be added to
this corpus in 2021.
Société du Grand Paris is developing partnerships in local areas
with several resource centres, which will become relay sites
for publicising job opportunities.
