Roll-out of the system and
corrective action plans used
for non-conformities These environmental audits have identified
positive actions taken on the worksites,
but also environmental non-conformities
that need to be dealt with quickly to avoid
any risk of incident and to ensure that
the commitments undertaken for this major
project are met. In view of the increasing pace
of work on the Grand Paris Express, Société
du Grand Paris has undertaken to develop
and implement a new process for monitoring
the correct resolution of all environmental
non-conformities identified during audits or
by any other source. The first results reveal
contractors have responded enthusiastically
and are actively supporting the process.
Specific audits for managers
of disposal sites In 2020, specific audits were carried out
at intermediate treatment sites and final
disposal sites. These audits are used to check
compliance with the commitments described
in the partnership agreements and the
best practice charter signed between
the managers of these sites and Société
du Grand Paris. These include commitments
such as the use of the digital traceability tool
for spoil developed by Société du Grand Paris,
the installation of weighing equipment at
the entrance to their sites, and the regulatory
compliance of their facilities.

Audit and control policy for the implementation of environmental requirements during
construction
Société du Grand Paris relies on its project managers to oversee the environmental monitoring
of its worksites. Project managers have various tools at their disposal for inspecting and
monitoring compliance with environmental requirements, both regulatory and contractual,
designed by Société du Grand Paris to ensure that the works and the project are executed in an
exemplary way.
In addition to this extensive monitoring, Société du Grand Paris set up its environmental audit
system to provide a second, independent and factual assessment of progress made at its
worksites. These audits, which are scheduled every six months, are part of an overall approach
to improving the environmental quality of worksites and provide the programme manager with
the opportunity to request that corrective actions be implemented if the environmental
requirements are not fully met.
Three types of entity are audited: construction companies, project managers and managers
of final disposal or intermediate spoil management sites.
In some cases, measurements, samples and analyses (water quality, air quality, noise, etc.) may
be taken during these audits to verify compliance with the thresholds applicable to the worksites
programme managed by Société du Grand Paris and to quantify the level of any nuisance.
