IN 2020
Development of an
environmental policy for
urban and real estate projects Société du Grand Paris has undertaken
collaborative and iterative work to define
the environmental and societal doctrine of
its urban and real estate projects around
the Grand Paris Express stations. Actions to
reduce the carbon impact of Île-de-France
residents and maximise the role of
biodiversity on project sites will be detailed
in the environmental requirements booklet
to be published in 2021.
Energy performance
of rolling stock
and transport systems For Lines 15, 16 and 17, the performance
stated in the specifications was verified
through the design of each system and the
functional interfaces between the systems.
Eventually, on-site tests will be carried
out to measure energy performance.
The company awarded the passenger
rolling stock contract has committed to
an energy performance target for a standard
journey. If this target is not met by the end
of the contract, the company will incur
a penalty.
Eco-design of structures
Société du Grand Paris worked with Jacques Ferrier on an architecture charter for the Grand Paris
Express to foster architects understanding of the sober architecture required for the future
stations. This ambition was reaffirmed in 2019 with the development of technical and
environmental requirements to minimise the economic and environmental impact of the
different phases of the project. The principles defined for the stations comply with the HQE©,
BREAM© or LEED© standards. All operations centres will be required to achieve good, excellent,
or exceptional HQE© certification.
Eco-responsible, resilient neighbourhoods
Partnerships with local authorities and developers are being formed to carry out urban and
real estate projects that meet the specific needs and challenges of each neighbourhood.
